Check

More > Check (or zest check page.html) runs deterministic checks only. Each finding names the lines, says why it matters, and offers a fix where one is safe without judgment. Ask my agent turns any finding into a note.

FindingLevelFix
A file the page asks for does not exist๐Ÿ›‘Pick a new image, or fix the path
Images load from another site๐ŸŸ Localize images: copies each into assets/ and points the page at the copy
Images have no alt text๐ŸŸ Click each in edit mode, then Alt text
Images written into the page as text (data: images over 20 KB)๐ŸŸ Move into assets: Localize saves each as a file in assets/. Your agent reads the page faster and cheaper
Images over 1 MB๐ŸŸ Shrink images: re-saves at 2000 px wide, originals kept in .zest/originals/
No <title>๐ŸŸ Page panel
No viewport tag (the page will not fit a phone)๐ŸŸ Add viewport tag
Links that go nowhere (href="#" or empty)๐ŸŸ Click each link in edit mode
Placeholder text (Lorem ipsum, TODO, TBD, [Company], [Your name], XX%)๐ŸŸ Edit, or ask your agent
Images whose licence requires a credit, with no credit on the page๐ŸŸ Copy the credit into a caption or credits section
Scripts or styles from another siteโ„น๏ธFine on the web; a Claude Artifact allows only some CDNs
The page does not say its languageโ„น๏ธSet lang="en"
No share cardโ„น๏ธPage panel: title, description, share image

zest check exits non-zero when it finds a ๐Ÿ›‘, so you can use it in a script.

Look at it on a phone

Check > Phone view and Tablet view show the page at 390 and 820 pixels wide in a frame, without the editor. Your agent can do the same: zest shoot page.html --full --width 390.

One file out

Check > Make a single file (or zest bundle page.html) writes page.single.html beside the page, with every local image, stylesheet, script and font inlined. Email it, attach it, or publish it as a Claude Artifact. It reports anything still loaded from the web and warns above 16 MB, the Artifact limit. Your page itself is not changed.

Check > Print or PDF opens the browser's print dialog with the editor hidden. Choose Save as PDF.
